Design Consultation

Every new client relationship begins here — a conversation to understand the project, the timeline and the vision, before anything is drawn or committed to.

What a first conversation covers

What you have, what you want from it, and what is genuinely achievable within the budget and programme you have in mind. We will be straightforward about what a project of that scope involves, including where our view differs from yours — that is more useful early than late.

It is also where we work out whether we are the right studio for the work. Choosing a qualified designer is one of the most important decisions in creating a home you will love, and it should go both ways.

Where it can lead

Some consultations become full-service engagements. Others resolve into a defined piece of advice — a plan reworked, a scheme reviewed before you commit to it, a second opinion on decisions an architect or contractor has already put in front of you.

It is also a sensible place to bring something that has stalled — a layout that will not resolve, a room that has never quite worked, or a quotation that seems out of proportion to what is being asked for. An hour of experienced attention often settles a question that has been circling for months.

There is no obligation for it to become anything larger.

Bringing us in early

If a build or renovation is already in motion, the most valuable time to talk is before the layouts are fixed. The best result is achieved when we are engaged with the client and the architect or contractor at the conceptual point in a project.
